Join our team as a Picker/Packer in Madison, Wisconsin, and play a crucial role in our order fulfillment process. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment, ensuring customer satisfaction. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, requiring precision and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanners.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Operate packing equipment and basic warehouse machinery.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor promptly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, which may include some manual lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to perform manual lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and wearing required PPE (e.g., gloves, safety shoes).
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow is beneficial.
