Job Summary:
Columbus, Ohio is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our dedicated logistics team. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is vital for efficient warehouse operations and customer satisfaction. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for managing stock levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to maintain inventory accuracy. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics chain and operational success.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy of stock records.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overages.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss and damage.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of inventory to prevent damage or spoilage.
  • Understand and enforce the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all inventory-related tasks.
  • Assist with tasks that may involve some Lifting, though the primary focus is on accuracy and control.
  • Champion Safety initiatives within the inventory control function.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Safety protocols relevant to warehouse inventory management.
