We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks, and supporting overall warehouse operations. You will be a vital part of our logistics chain, contributing to the successful distribution of products.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers, ensuring accuracy and proper handling of goods.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Pick and put away inventory accurately, following all established procedures and using RF scanning equipment when applicable.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and warehouse procedures.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as assigned.
- Maintain a safe work environment by wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Be prepared for moderate to heavy Lifting requirements as part of the role, up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including consistent Lifting and manual dexterity.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
