We are looking for a motivated Picker/Packer to join our operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This is a fast-paced position within our logistics operations where attention to detail and efficiency are paramount. Your commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE is essential for a secure and productive environment. This role involves significant physical activity, including consistent lifting .
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to manage inventory and track orders.
- Verify order contents for accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Stage packed orders for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.
- Assist in other warehouse functions as needed, contributing to overall logistics .
- Adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Perform tasks that involve regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and basic logistics principles is beneficial.
- Willingness to follow safety instructions and wear required PPE .
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
