Join our bustling warehouse operations in Phoenix, Arizona, as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking an organized and diligent individual to manage the inbound flow of goods. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, ensuring that all deliveries are processed efficiently and correctly. This role is fundamental to our logistics chain, maintaining the integrity of our inventory from the moment it arrives. Safety and precision are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Unload trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues with vendors and internal departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with organizing and labeling incoming inventory.
- Ensure efficient workflow in the receiving department to minimize delays in logistics.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed during peak periods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping documents (e.g., BOLs, packing slips).
- Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Basic knowledge of logistics operations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
