We are recruiting a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Washington, D.C. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining and repairing warehouse equipment and infrastructure to ensure operational continuity and safety. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and ensuring all safety systems are operational. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is beneficial. The Warehouse Technician plays a critical role in our logistics operations by preventing downtime and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff. Adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of PPE are paramount. We seek individuals who are proactive, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and are committed to maintaining a high standard of operational readiness. Your technical expertise will be key to our efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on warehouse equipment, including conveyors, forklifts, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various conditions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
