Join our team as an Order Picker in Austin, Texas, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This position is essential for our fulfillment operations and contributes directly to our logistics success. You will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets, preparing them for packing and shipment. We are looking for individuals with a sharp eye for detail, a good sense of urgency, and a strong commitment to Safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order requirements using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items in the designated packing or shipping area.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed, following all Safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to Safety and order accuracy.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE.
- Perform tasks involving moderate Lifting of items, typically up to 30 lbs., with occasional heavier Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and fulfillment processes.
- Understand and apply Safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Ensure the integrity of picked items during transport within the warehouse.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse/fulfillment role is preferred. Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and understand pick tickets and RF scanner prompts. Capacity to perform tasks involving moderate Lifting. Team player with good communication skills. Must be reliable and punctual. Commitment to workplace Safety and knowledge of proper Lifting techniques is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial. Must comply with all PPE regulations.
