We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is crucial to the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safe and timely transportation of products within the warehouse, from receiving to shipping. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, adherence to company policies, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment and expect all employees to follow strict safety protocols. This includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. You will be expected to perform routine checks on your forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order and report any issues immediately. Attention to detail is paramount in this role to prevent damage to inventory and ensure accuracy. Occasional manual lifting may be required, so being able to lift up to 50 lbs is necessary. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Pick and stage orders for shipment.
- Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and management.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrable experience.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
