Seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk for our Baltimore, Maryland location! In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately received, inspected, and documented. Your responsibilities will include verifying delivery manifests, checking for damages, and logging inventory into our system. Precision and organizational skills are key to this position, as accurate receiving is the foundation of our entire logistics operation. You will work closely with suppliers and our internal teams to ensure a seamless flow of materials. Responsibilities include:
- Accepting and unloading incoming shipments from carriers.
- Verifying the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and manifests.
- Inspecting all incoming items for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately entering receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Tagging and routing received goods to appropriate stocking locations.
- Communicating any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly receiving area.
- Assisting with inventory management tasks as needed.
This position requires the ability to handle moderate lifting, up to 40 pounds. A strict adherence to safety guidelines and the correct use of PPE is paramount. This role is essential for our logistics and inventory control. Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
