Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Chicago, Illinois! This role is fundamental to our supply chain, responsible for accurately processing all incoming goods. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for inventory entering our facility, ensuring everything is accounted for and properly documented. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are key to maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting efficient operations. You will work within our comprehensive Logistics department. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety , and all team members must strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE . This position requires the ability to handle moderate physical tasks, including Lifting and moving goods. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
  • Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Document all received items into the inventory management system.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Sort and distribute incoming merchandise to the appropriate departments or storage areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Follow all company Safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Wear and utilize all required PPE diligently.
  • Perform tasks involving regular Lifting and moving of materials.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency with computers and inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of basic Logistics principles.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including moderate Lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to workplace Safety and consistent use of PPE .
