As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders by selecting items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding safety and inventory control.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Comply with all PPE requirements at all times.
- Be prepared for lifting requirements throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and labels.
- Basic math skills for inventory and order verification.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Previous warehouse or picking/packing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
