Are you an experienced Material Handler looking for a new challenge in Colorado Springs, Colorado? We are seeking a skilled individual to manage the flow of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations, encompassing receiving, storing, retrieving, and distributing materials. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment safely and effectively, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting various warehouse functions. A thorough understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential, as this role involves significant physical activity, including heavy Lifting. This position is key to our Logistics network, ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed. We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper material handling.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, contributing to overall Logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, with forklift certification preferred.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 75 lbs) and other physically demanding tasks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and Logistics operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE.
