We are seeking a diligent and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, packing, and shipping outgoing orders, ensuring all items are correctly documented and dispatched. Your attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining inventory accuracy and meeting shipping deadlines. You will work closely with our warehouse and logistics departments to ensure a smooth flow of goods. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with carriers and internal teams. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and label outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping documentation against orders.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct inventory checks as needed.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with various shipping methods and carriers.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
