About
Our Cincinnati, Ohio facility is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our supply chain team. This role is fundamental to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing control measures, and ensuring optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of warehouse logistics. This is a key position that contributes directly to the efficiency and profitability of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and report on key metrics.
- Collaborate with operations, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of inventory items.
- Recommend process improvements for inventory management.
- Uphold all company Safety policies and ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, potentially involving some Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related role.
- Proficiency with WMS software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment.
