About
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our state-of-the-art facility in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a strong understanding of warehouse management principles, logistics, and team supervision. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of productivity, and upholding all safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all goods.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring smooth logistics flow.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment operation.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, discrepancies, and customer complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all OSHA and company standards.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules to ensure operational readiness.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar leadership role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and general computer skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all required PPE.
