About
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our vibrant warehouse operations in Boston, Massachusetts. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout our facility. Your role is fundamental to the efficient flow of goods within our logistics network, ensuring that raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products are managed effectively. This position requires physical dexterity, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, to transport items. Proper use of PPE is essential, and adherence to all Safety protocols is mandatory. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and capable of performing tasks involving frequent lifting. Prior experience operating forklifts and handling materials is highly desirable. You will work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a well-organized and productive warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
- Transport materials between different departments or work areas as needed.
- Perform regular inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues or needed repairs.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Follow all established procedures for material handling and logistics.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Support other warehouse functions and team members as required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate various material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy items (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
