We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our bustling warehouse in Seattle, Washington. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, assembling, and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency are key to ensuring our customers receive the correct items in perfect condition. This position is central to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will work with a high-energy team in a fast-paced environment, navigating our warehouse to fulfill orders. Tasks include reading order sheets, locating items, carefully packing them for transit, and preparing them for dispatch. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential, as is strict adherence to all Safety guidelines. We require candidates to be physically capable of frequent lifting and comfortable with the demands of a warehouse environment. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all employees. Prior experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous. You will be trained on our specific systems and procedures. Responsibilities:
- Receive and process customer orders accurately from pick lists or system generated reports.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and designated storage areas.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Carefully pack orders to ensure product integrity during transit.
- Label packages with correct shipping information and documentation.
- Stage packed orders for shipment, ensuring they are ready for the next stage in the logistics process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock organization as needed.
- Contribute to team efforts and assist colleagues as required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
