We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in New York City, New York. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing goods are handled with care and accuracy. This position is integral to our logistics network, supporting the timely delivery of products to our valued customers. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is paramount, and adherence to all safety protocols is strictly enforced. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, have a strong work ethic, and are eager to contribute to a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will possess good physical stamina for tasks involving frequent lifting and will be comfortable working in a warehouse setting. Training will be provided, but prior experience in a similar role is a plus. You will be expected to utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and possibly forklifts (if certified). Ensuring the correct use of PPE at all times is a non-negotiable aspect of this role. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer specifications.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, especially those related to PPE and workplace safety.
- Contribute to overall team goals and support other warehouse functions as required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Safety protocols and the importance of wearing appropriate PPE.
