Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust inventory control systems and procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute cycle count programs to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize stock levels to meet demand while minimizing holding costs.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to align inventory strategies.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory management best practices and adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor and report on key inventory performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements related to inventory.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety standards in all inventory-related activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in inventory control or management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (WMS, ERP systems).
- Excellent understanding of inventory accounting principles and best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Capability for occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs for stock verification.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and secure inventory environment.
