Our dynamic logistics facility in Seattle, Washington, is seeking a skilled Shipping Clerk to manage our outbound shipments. The Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring that orders are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched to customers on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all shipments meet quality and safety standards. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of shipping processes. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Generate shipping labels and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Verify that all items in an order are accurately packed and accounted for.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for proper packaging and damage.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE, including safety footwear and gloves.
- Assist with inventory management and stockroom organization as needed.
- Handle lifting of packages up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to efficient logistics flow by ensuring timely and correct shipment of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to safety protocols.
