About
Join our fast-paced warehouse team as a Picker/Packer in Detroit, Michigan! We are looking for energetic individuals to accurately and efficiently pick items for customer orders and prepare them for shipment. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will be responsible for reading order tickets, locating items within the warehouse, picking the correct quantities, and then carefully packing them into appropriate shipping containers. Attention to detail is key to ensure order accuracy and minimize errors. The ideal candidate is reliable, has good stamina, and can work effectively in a team environment. Familiarity with RF scanners is a plus, but training will be provided. You'll be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE, and practice safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and confirm picks.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping boxes or containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Label packages for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Report any damaged or missing items to supervisors.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as stocking or staging.
- Contribute to team goals for productivity and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Capable of frequent lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Good eye-hand coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and labels.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices.
- Willingness to follow instructions and company policies.
