We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy distribution center in Orlando, Florida. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our facility and plays a crucial part in our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Safety and precision are paramount in this position. Key duties include:
- Safely operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks, trailers, and warehouse storage.
- Transporting inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stacking and organizing materials efficiently and securely.
- Performing routine checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Adhering strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift operator certification, a minimum of 1-2 years of experience, and a proven commitment to safety. Strong spatial awareness and the ability to navigate in a busy warehouse environment are essential. This role requires the ability to perform tasks that involve lifting and manual handling up to 50 lbs. You will be part of a dedicated logistics team focused on efficiency and safety.
