As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to Safety are paramount in this position. You will be working with a diverse range of products, requiring careful handling and efficient movement throughout the warehouse. This role involves a significant amount of walking, reaching, and frequent Lifting of items. We maintain a strong focus on workplace Safety, and all employees are required to use the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will be trained on the proper use of any equipment necessary for the job. We are looking for a team player who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively. - Read and interpret pick lists or use handheld scanners to identify and locate products.
- Retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage areas.
- Ensure accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Package picked items securely for shipment.
- Transport picked orders to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Operate order picking equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts) safely.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere to all guidelines regarding the use of PPE.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to interpret pick lists and follow instructions accurately.
- Physically capable of performing tasks requiring frequent movement, bending, and Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
