We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and documenting all outgoing shipments. This role is critical to ensuring our products reach our customers efficiently and in excellent condition. You will work closely with the warehouse team to manage shipping schedules, verify order accuracy, and prepare necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms for international shipments. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipping software and a solid understanding of warehouse operations. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, emphasizing adherence to all safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities include:
- Verifying the accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping documents.
- Packaging items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Operating shipping software to generate labels and tracking information.
- Coordinating with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintaining an organized and clean shipping area.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Performing general clerical duties related to shipping and receiving.
