Join our supportive community and prioritize health! Job Overview At Humana, we are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to enhance our healthcare technology objectives. You'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and compliant cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP for our engineering teams at enterprise scale. Your responsibilities will include building modern CI/CD pipelines, deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads, creating helm charts, integrating security tools, automating workflows with PowerShell, Bash, and Python, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and SOC2. In this role, you will troubleshoot complex incidents, provide on-call support, improve developer experience through documentation and standards, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, extensive hands-on DevOps experience, automation skills, and familiarity with healthcare or regulated environments. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure and GCP.
Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Harness, GitHub Actions, and GitOps - ArgoCD.
Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes (AKS, GKE, OpenShift).
Implement best practices for security and integrate tools such as SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, and JFrog Xray.
Utilize feature flag management and progressive delivery techniques with LaunchDarkly.
Create automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
Incorporate AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to streamline workflows and enhance engineering processes.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and SOC2 throughout DevOps functions.
Configure, optimize, and support build agents and runners (Linux, Windows, GHRunners).
Provide L3 and on-call support for platform services and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform incidents independently.
Monitor system performance and reliability to ensure optimal operation.
Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Develop documentation, standards, and reusable templates to enhance developer experience.
Technical Skills Required: Cloud expertise: Azure, GCP, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
Experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitOps, ArgoCD.
Container management: Kubernetes, AKS, GKE, OpenShift.
Quality and security tools: SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, LaunchDarkly.
Strong administration skills in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Advanced Bash, and Python.
Familiarity with AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
Understanding of infrastructure monitoring and observability tools.
Relevant cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, Kubernetes) are a plus.
Qualifications: Required Experience: 10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations.
5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
Preferred experience in healthcare or regulated environments.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting large-scale enterprise DevOps platforms.
Familiarity with DORA metrics and DevOps maturity models.
Expertise in integrating automated testing and security tools into CI/CD.
Background in compliance-driven environments (healthcare preferred).
Additional Information: Work Location: Home base in Louisville, KY, with remote and flexible work arrangements available.
Ensure remote work setup meets requirements for effective performance, with internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload recommended. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections need prior approval. Humana supports remote staff in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota with bi-weekly internet expense reimbursements, and provides necessary telephone equipment for work needs. 40 Compensation:
Base salary range of $106,900 - $147,000 per year, based on skills and experience. Eligible for bonus incentives. Benefits:
