Location: Becker School, Batley
Located in the heart of Batley, Kirklees, our new school is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 13 years old. As part of the Polaris Community, we have been passionately transforming the lives of young people for over 30 years.

Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, addressing the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
- Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
- Report on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other school staff to ensure all needs are met.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
- Build positive relationships with your pupils, driving interaction and fostering positive learning outcomes.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A suitable qualification at degree level.
- Previous successful teaching experience, preferably in KS1/2.
- Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
