Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520
Contract: Full Time, Term time only
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Located in the heart of Batley, Kirklees, our new school is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 13 years old. As part of the Polaris Community, we have been passionately transforming the lives of young people for over 30 years.

As a SEN Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, addressing the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
• Report on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other school staff to ensure all needs are met.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
• Build positive relationships with your pupils, driving interaction and fostering positive learning outcomes.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A suitable qualification at degree level.
• Previous successful teaching experience, preferably in KS1/2.
• Experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
• A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work.

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
