We are looking for dedicated teachers experienced in PE, Humanities, or Vocational Subjects to join our mission of transforming education for young people.

Located in the vibrant area of Headingley, Ormston School opened its doors in September 2024. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for students aged 5 to 18, ensuring they thrive and leave school equipped for the future. As a SEND Teacher, you will teach small, bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering well-structured lessons that align with the school's curriculum.
• Assessing and reporting on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
• Adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse strengths and needs of students.
• Setting high standards to inspire and motivate your pupils.
• Demonstrating secure subject knowledge across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum.
• Preparing learners for external tests and adapting learning for those with SEND.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
• Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
• Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
• A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
• Strong relationship-building skills with pupils and knowledge of child protection protocols.
• Good ICT skills to enhance learning experiences.
