Collaborate with our CloudOps and Infrastructure team, utilizing your coding expertise to implement software engineering best practices, manage infrastructure as code, efficiently deploy applications using Kubernetes, and work closely with backend, frontend, mobile, and data engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Create custom GitHub Actions to optimize application builds. Develop deployment scripts for smooth application deployment across various platforms. Establish a framework for efficient container backups and restorations. Become proficient in Kubernetes to improve auto-remediation of cluster issues. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for resource management and best practices in reporting and monitoring. Encourage knowledge sharing within the team and across development teams. Mentor junior developers in technical design and implementation. Enhance account security while maintaining deployment convenience. Engage collaboratively across all organizational levels to leverage our collective intelligence. Actively participate in meetings, trainings, and customer interactions to foster strong relationships. Requirements: Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements on a one-to-one basis. Experience:
5-7 years of relevant experience is essential. Experience within transportation, logistics, or technology sectors is a plus. Skills & Abilities: Expertise with container platforms such as Talos and Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with AWS and command-line languages including Bash and PowerShell. Strong debugging skills for Linux systems. Experience in coding IaC with Terraform. Capability to troubleshoot Linux systems, including servers and Docker environments. Strong strategic and conceptual thinking abilities. Exceptional skills in data and process analysis. Excellent relationship-building skills. Adept at leading medium to large projects with effective change management. Proactive problem-solving skills with excellent communication capabilities. Work Environment: This position is based at our U.S. Xpress Headquarters in a standard office setting. Employees may be assigned additional duties as responsibilities evolve.
