About
Network Field Engineer
to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple sites. This role involves hands-on work with networking hardware, connectivity, and performance issues to ensure reliable and secure network operations.
The ideal candidate has experience with
Cisco networking equipment , LAN/WAN connectivity, routing protocols, and strong troubleshooting skills. This role requires travel between sites, so
reliable transportation is required .
Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain
Cisco network infrastructure , including routers, switches, and related devices Support
LAN and WAN connectivity
across multiple locations Troubleshoot network connectivity and
application performance issues Perform
firmware updates, port activations, and switch configuration Monitor network performance and resolve issues impacting users or systems Assist with
complex network upgrades, improvements, and deployments Maintain documentation and network diagrams using
Visio Provide technical support for
network-connected devices , including PCs and printers Ensure adherence to
security and networking best practices Participate in an
on-call rotation
as needed Document and manage incidents using
IT service management tools Requirements
Hands-on experience with
Cisco networking equipment Experience with
LAN/WAN connectivity and troubleshooting Knowledge of
TCP/IP networking Familiarity with routing protocols such as
OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP Experience with
network monitoring and performance analysis Strong
network problem resolution and troubleshooting skills Ability to perform
installation and maintenance of network systems Experience supporting
routers, switches, PCs, and printers Strong
critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent
communication and customer service skills Preferred Experience Experience in
healthcare or enterprise environments Familiarity with
telephony systems (Avaya, VoIP, etc.) Experience using
IT service management tools Experience with
network documentation and diagramming tools such as Visio Education & Certifications Associate's Degree required
(Bachelor's preferred) CCNA certification preferred
(or currently working toward certification) Additional Requirements Must have
reliable transportation
and be willing to travel between sites Ability to work independently and within a
team-oriented environment Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
