As we continue to grow across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded FP&A Analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and performance.
As the FP&A Analyst, you will lead the full financial planning cycle for Affidea Ireland, including budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning and strategic analytics. You will provide high-quality insight, challenge, and business partnering support to the Executive team, ensuring strong financial performance and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities- Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly reforecasts, and long-term (35 year) planning.
- Enhance or redesign financial models, including assumptions, drivers, and outputs.
- Deliver monthly performance commentary with clear insights, risks, and recommended actions.
- Partner with senior leaders to provide timely financial insights that influence strategic decisions.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis and what-if scenarios across business initiatives and investment opportunities.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and bi-monthly reports for the Executive team and Group FP&A.
- Support investment appraisals (acquisitions, greenfield, brownfield, new services).
- Collaborate with Accounting on ad hoc issues when required.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) or relevant financial qualification
- Proven experience in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, modelling and performance analysis.
- Strong Excel modelling capabilities, with ability to build and maintain complex models.
- Experience using SAP or SAGE is an advantage.
- Healthcare sector experience desirable but not essential.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, including senior level engagement.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Curious, hands-on and eager to understand how all parts of the business impact financial performance.
