Position Details: Client: Pharmaceutical Company Position Title: Data Scientist III Duration: 06 months (Possibilities of extension) Location: REMOTE Pay range: $65/hr to $70/hr
Job Description:
What are the top 3-5 skills, experience or education required for this position: 3+ years of analytics related experience in clinical research. Experience with clinical data preferred Experience with Spotfire or similar visualization tool Experience with R programming Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and gathering requirements, implementing analytic solutions, and enabling data driven insights Experience with programming and implementing visualizations with MicroStrategy. Roles and Responsibilities :
Manage and execute analytic needs for a set of clinical trials based on therapeutic alignment Partner with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven insights to support the end-to-end clinical trial execution through fit-for-purpose analytics support Identify business needs on a study and support the creation of RBQM deliverables (KRIs/QTLs), data review deliverables, or study specific reports or analyses as required. Connects with cross-functional teams to design work product and as an analytics consultant. Anticipates and identifies issues that could affect timelines or quality and develops options and solutions Leads and helps establish the design principles and standards to ensure analytical work product is consistent across projects where appropriate and that user experience is optimized In addition to standard statistical methods, develops prototypes, test methods and algorithms. Leverages emerging statistical methodologies, Machine Learning and AI to drive innovative analytical solutions to create insights Enables data-driven insights to support of clinical development continuum, including precision medicine Ensures adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), ICH Guidelines, Client's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and to functional quality standards. Stays abreast of new and/or evolving local regulations, guidelines and policies related to clinical development Identify business needs and support the creation of standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analyses Work side by side with cross-functional teams as an analytics consultant to strategize on how analytics can help evaluate the progress of clinical trials, as well as facilitate discussions around emerging risks; Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree statistics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent field. Master's degree preferred Must have 3+ years of analytics-related experience in clinical research including demonstrated high-level analytics and leadership competencies. Advanced career level proficiency in R, Python or other statistical packages. Intermediate-level knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques Expert proficiency with visualization tools like Spotfire, Tableau or equivalent Demonstrated effective communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical and technical concepts in layman's terms Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills Demonstrated history of successful execution in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to navigate a matrixed work organization Exhibits excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects. Communicates clearly, translating business needs into actionable analytics requirement Strong technical expertise and proficiency with R, Python or other statistical packages. Proficiency with visualization tools such as Spotfire or equivalent Fosters innovation and an entrepreneurial culture within the team that attracts and retains top talent; creates an environment of continuous learning Effectively influences cross-functional stakeholders to identify and unlock the full potential of data and analytics. Thrives in fast-paced environments and adapts quickly to changing priorities.
