Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer for a contract-to-hire position with a healthcare services client in Eagan, MN. This position is 100% remote. Pay range: $68.31 - $70.42 per hour, W2. This role involves designing, building, testing, and supporting data integrations for our client's partner platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering on a major cloud platform like GCP, AWS, or Azure, with a strong focus on data pipeline development and data governance. Responsibilities: Design, build, test, and support data integrations Develop and maintain data pipelines Ensure adherence to data governance principles Optimize and tune queries for performance and cost-effectiveness Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data solutions Requirements: 8-10 years of experience in Data Engineering Experience with GCP (or a similar cloud platform like AWS/Azure) Proven experience in Data Pipeline Development Strong understanding of Data Governance Principles Proficiency in GCP BigQuery for query optimization, partitioning, clustering, and data modeling Experience with Cloud Storage, including bucket management and lifecycle policies Skilled in Python for building data engineering pipelines Advanced SQL knowledge, including window functions and CTEs Experience with Bash/Shell for automation and scripting Familiarity with monitoring tools like Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring Proficiency with Git for version control Deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT patterns Experience with data quality validation, testing, and monitoring Desired skills: Experience with Dataflow (Apache Beam) for streaming/batch processing Knowledge of Pub/Sub for event-driven architecture Experience with Cloud Functions for serverless data processing Familiarity with real-time processing and streaming analytics PBM/Healthcare industry experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
