We are currently looking for a new instrumentation and maintenance engineer apprentice.
This is an exciting role where you will be supporting routine planned maintenance, fault finding and repair services.
Closing date for application is 30/04/26. The start date for this apprenticeship will be 01/07/2026.
- Full-time – 37.5 hours a week.
- Competitive Apprentice Salary: £19,500 per year
- Enhanced Annual Leave: 5 days more than statutory plus an additional day for each 2 years of service up to 36 days
- Additional Benefits: Company bonus scheme / company pension scheme
- Duration: 3 year and 4 months
- Training Course: Engineering maintenance technician – dual discipline (level 3)
As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment and age, you may be required to complete English and Maths Functional Skills which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.

Routine planned service of emissions monitoring instrumentation including:
- Electrical systems
- Electronic Instrumentation
- Signal / communication protocols
- Compressed gas and compressed air
Sites located throughout the UK and Ireland:
- Adhering to site rules for safe working. Carrying out specific site inductions
- Travel to and from sites for visits lasting between 1 and 5 days. Some overnight stays would be necessary. All travel and related expenses fully paid
- Range of different industries including forges, crematoriums, manufacturing plants, energy from waste facilities & power plants
Fault finding, repair and calibration:
- Testing instrumentation on repair rigs in-house
- Call out visits to customers to establish issues and repair if possible
- Talking to site point of contact about works carried out before leaving site
- Preparing calibration reports to send to customer after the works have been completed, alongside a detailed covering email
Remote maintenance:
- Dialling into site emissions equipment to look at performance of instrumentation and predict future maintenance requirements
Remote reporting:
- Produce instrument performance reports to satisfy client requirements
