About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Avaya Aura Engineer to join our team. You will be supporting enterprise communication environments across a wide range of clients and industries. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex telephony challenges and working across multiple Avaya platforms.
In this role, you will support and maintain Avaya Aura platforms in production environments, contributing to both operational support and escalated service tickets. In addition to service and support work, you will be involved in strategic initiatives including system upgrades, patching, migrations, and new implementations.

What You’ll Do
* Design, configure, and support Avaya Aura environments
* Troubleshoot complex VoIP and SIP-based communication systems
* Support projects, service tickets, system patching, and platform upgrades
* Maintain and improve enterprise voice environments across multiple client
* Configure and troubleshoot call routing, vectors, VDNs, ACDs and SIP trunking
* Troubleshoot clients with complex network infrastructure to determine voice problems.
* Assist with system migrations, deployments, and infrastructure improvements
* Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
* Maintain documentation including system configurations and call flow diagrams
* Collaborate with internal teams, telecom providers, and client stakeholders
Core Technologies
Strong experience with Avaya Aura Core Systems:
* Avaya Aura Communication Manager (CM)
* Avaya System Manager (SMGR)
* Avaya Session Manager (SM)
* Avaya Aura Device Services (AADS)
* Application Enablement Services (AES)
Troubleshooting Skills:
* SIP trunking
* VoIP protocols and call flows
* Network troubleshooting
* VMware environments
* Remote Worker configurations
Highly desirable experience:
* Strong experience supporting and maintaining enterprise Avaya Aura environments
* Ability to troubleshoot complex voice, SIP, and system integration issues across multiple platforms
* Experience working in customer-facing environments with multiple clients or business units
* System Design and Solution Engineering and experience with Sales and Consulting colleagues
Nice to have:
* Avaya IP Office experience
* AlarmTraq monitoring experience
* Avaya certifications such as ACSS or ACIS preferred, but not required
* Microsoft Teams Phone and Teams Direct Routing
* UCaaS and CCaaS implementation and support experience for products such as 8x8, Ring Central, NICE, Genesys, etc.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years of hands-on Avaya Aura experience
* Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise voice environments
* Experience supporting production telephony platforms
* Ability to work across both project work and operational support
* Strong communication and documentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
Work Schedule & Flexibility
This is a fully remote position. The role occasionally requires off-hours maintenance windows to address system issues, perform system upgrades, patching, or maintenance activities. In return, the position offers flexibility in working hours to accommodate after-hours work and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
