Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Scientist to join our analytics team. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced data analysis, business knowledge and machine learning/AI techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
This role offers an opportunity to work with a variety of applications, data sources, and cloud-based vendor solutions. The Data Scientist collaborates with operations and business teams to create predictive models, dashboards, and reports for staffing, KPIs, and contract renewals.
Responsibilities & Duties Design and optimize ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
Conduct data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within large datasets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
Architect, build and maintain databases with effective design principles to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
Deploy machine learning models into production environments using model deployment best practices on cloud platforms.
Analyze operational and performance data from school bus fleets and contracts
Build predictive and statistical models to improve various points of the business such as contract renewal, staffing needs, operational KPIs.
Stay current with emerging trends in AI and analytics to continuously improve modeling approaches.
