Job description:
The Perception Attributes team is looking for a Data Scientist to build and optimize the data mining and validation frameworks that power our autonomous vehicle's understanding of the world. The company is building a future for Riders, not drivers. At the heart of this vision is our ability to accurately detect and classify cars, bikes, pedestrians, and traffic signs in real-time. This role ensures that the data driving these models is of the highest quality and reflects the complex environments our robotaxis navigate. This role is concerned with the performance, reliability, and quality of our data mining operations and the underlying health of our perception datasets. If you love uncovering patterns, ensuring data integrity, and building resilient data pipelines to train cutting-edge AI, you will excel in this role.
Responsibilities:
Own a critical data mining link between raw sensor logs and our perception training pipelines Prioritize data quality and safety first by establishing rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) processes for classified objects like pedestrians and traffic signs Perform root cause analysis on data quality drops or edge-case failures and communicate learnings to the broader team Define and own Data Quality Objectives that accurately reflect the health and accuracy of our perception datasets Collaborate with engineers across the organization who rely on mined data to improve vehicle autonomy
