About
Responsible for all aspects (software and hardware) of SMC's network/server systems. Recommends, implements, and maintains network architectures (LAN and WAN). Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Works with the CIO to set policy and direction of SMC's networking/server environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
HS or GED equivalent required; technical school or college classes in IT networking required; AS or BS degree in IT related field preferred. 5 years' experience in IT related field preferred. Microsoft Certifications preferred. Experience in personal computer and network server operation and maintenance needed. Administration level knowledge of Windows and Terminal Server or VDI environment a plus. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections. Must be able to talk and hear to converse with others, in person, and over the telephone. Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare, process, and read written materials. Able to go to any department in the building and to offsite installations. Able to move small equipment and manual dexterity to handle small tools.
