Key Responsibilities: The
Senior DevOps Engineer
will take ownership of DevOps operations at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance, focusing on modernizing our CI/CD processes and enhancing Azure DevOps (ADO) Pipelines. You will drive automation initiatives and serve as the primary contact for DevOps strategy and execution. Your role will involve: Leading the management of Azure DevOps Pipelines, including build, release, automation, and governance. Modernizing existing CI/CD infrastructure while implementing automation standards and best deployment practices. Collaborating with Engineering teams to enhance the deployment process and improve developer experience. Working with Cybersecurity to integrate DevSecOps practices, vulnerability scanning, and secure coding practices. Teaming up with Cloud/Infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability through containerization and cloud resource governance. Owning monitoring and observability frameworks by establishing logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerting systems. Defining and documenting DevOps standards, operational guidelines, and release procedures. Troubleshooting any pipeline issues and stabilizing deployment processes. Evaluating new DevOps technologies for continuous improvement and modernization. Qualifications: We are seeking candidates with: 5-7 years of experience in DevOps engineering, specifically with enterprise-scale CI/CD systems. A strong grasp of the .NET ecosystem, including build processes and deployment strategies. Expertise in Azure DevOps Pipelines (classic and YAML), Repos, Artifacts, and Boards. Proficient with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Experience in building automated pipelines that incorporate testing and security validations. A firm understanding of Windows Server, IIS deployments, and .NET application delivery. Familiarity with cloud engineering concepts, particularly in Azure. Solid troubleshooting skills across various infrastructure and network layers. Preferred Qualifications: Additional strengths will include: Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like ARM/Bicep/Terraform. Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration. Experience with security scanning tools. Agile Scrum experience with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates. Salary range: $65,900.70 - $152,611.80 The salary range reflects various factors including credentials, experience, location, and job responsibilities.
