Summary We are partnered with a fast-growing technology and security solutions provider based in Newcastle upon Tyne, specialising in advanced security systems, infrastructure protection, and integrated technology solutions for businesses across the UK. Their clients span a range of industries including commercial property, logistics, critical infrastructure, and public sector organisations.
As demand for smarter, technology-led security solutions continues to grow, they are expanding the commercial team and looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative / Business Development Representative to help drive new opportunities and support continued growth.
The Role This role sits at the front end of the sales process and is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and generating new business opportunities for the wider sales team. You will be responsible for outbound prospecting, initiating conversations with potential clients, and building a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded, and looking to build a long-term career in B2B technology or security solutions sales.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and research prospective clients across target industries
* Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce the company’s security and technology solutions
* Qualify inbound and outbound leads and book meetings for the sales management team
* Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities within the CRM system
* Develop an understanding of client security challenges and position appropriate solutions
* Work closely with the sales and technical teams to support the development of new business opportunities
* Maintain accurate records of outreach activity and pipeline progress
* Contribute to campaign development and market targeting strategies
* Represent the business professionally in all communications with prospective clients
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience (3+ years) in a Sales Development, Business Development, or outbound B2B sales role
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers
* Highly motivated with a proactive, results-driven mindset
* Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging new prospects
* Organised with strong attention to detail
* Experience using CRM platforms is advantageous
* Interest in technology, security systems, or infrastructure solutions is beneficial
