This role is central to our logistics operations, requiring skilled operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize inventory. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, ensuring the efficient flow of goods through our warehouse, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe operating procedures, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper securing.
- Transport inventory to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Stack and arrange products in a safe and organized manner.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Report any equipment issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet operational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety principles and practices.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to following all safety rules, including the use of PPE.
