About
Lead our warehouse operations as a Warehouse Supervisor in Indianapolis, Indiana! We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to manage our team and ensure the smooth, efficient, and safe flow of goods through our distribution center. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping. Your leadership will drive productivity, maintain high standards of Safety, and ensure team member development. Key responsibilities include scheduling staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing training and coaching. You will implement and enforce all company policies and Safety procedures, ensuring a secure work environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to motivate a team. You will be responsible for managing inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse layout, and improving operational efficiency within our logistics framework. While you will be leading, you must also be willing to step in and assist with tasks when necessary, which may include some manual Lifting. A commitment to providing the correct PPE and ensuring its use is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage and motivate a team of warehouse associates.
- Oversee receiving, inventory control, order picking, and shipping processes.
- Implement and enforce Safety policies and procedures.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing development for the team.
- Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with operational tasks, including occasional Lifting and equipment operation, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
