Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in San Jose, California. This role is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our state-of-the-art distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount in ensuring the smooth flow of operations. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Receive and accurately process incoming inventory.
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
  • Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform routine maintenance and checks on material handling equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
