We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a crucial role in receiving and dispatching goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This position requires a keen understanding of warehouse operations and a strong commitment to Safety. You must be proficient in maneuvering loads and navigating warehouse aisles safely. The use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including safety shoes and vests. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and bending. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from storage areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to Safety standards.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
