About
We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics hub in Durham, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise within our warehouse. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will be crucial for handling materials, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining organized storage areas. This role demands a strong focus on Safety, adherence to operational procedures, and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Safely transport materials between various locations within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues or damage.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper stacking and storage.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including traffic rules within the facility.
- Wear and correctly use all mandated PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to Safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
