Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler to join our busy logistics facility in Nashville, Tennessee. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow. Your primary duties will include operating forklifts and other heavy equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and managing inventory. This role is critical to our supply chain's efficiency and requires a strong focus on Safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, and stage materials.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the facility.
  • Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
  • Support inventory management by moving and organizing stock.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Follow all instructions from supervisors regarding material handling tasks.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Valid forklift certification is required.
  • Ability to perform significant physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of materials up to 70 lbs.
  • Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
  • Strong spatial awareness and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to consistently wear appropriate PPE.
