We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring that our stock levels are precise and our warehouse operations run smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical counts.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss and ensure accuracy.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out) to ensure product freshness and reduce obsolescence.
- Track and report on inventory aging, stock adjustments, and other key metrics.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations and logistics teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology effectively.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Assist in the training of new staff on inventory procedures.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software. Ability to perform detailed audits and reconcile data. Experience with RF scanners and other inventory tracking technologies. Physical ability to access all areas of the warehouse, including occasional Lifting of items up to 30 lbs. Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles. Must wear required PPE. Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires a meticulous approach to data management and a strong commitment to Safety and accuracy within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal inventory levels.
