About
We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to become an integral part of our warehouse operations in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory by meticulously managing incoming goods. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all deliveries, ensuring they match purchase orders and are free from damage. A sharp eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this logistics-focused position.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect all received goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory system.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to the relevant departments.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment in the receiving area.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including the appropriate use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or related logistics field.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
- Strong ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Capability for lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and proper PPE usage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
