We are hiring a dedicated Picker/Packer for our facility in San Jose, California. In this role, you will be at the forefront of fulfilling customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every step. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order slips and carefully packing them for shipment. This requires meticulous attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure the correct products are sent to our clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to all company safety policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A fundamental understanding of our logistics and inventory management systems will be beneficial. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses good manual dexterity, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from inventory based on order details.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately.
- Maintain organized workstations and contribute to general warehouse cleanliness.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Meet productivity targets while maintaining high accuracy.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization as needed, supporting overall logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
