We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is fundamental to the efficient flow of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Understand and apply principles of logistics for efficient material flow.
- Perform tasks that involve frequent Lifting of materials, often exceeding 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operating license or certification.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring substantial physical exertion, including significant Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all Safety guidelines.
