Are you detail-oriented and organized? We have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Clerk in Miami, Florida! As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are received accurately, inspected, and documented properly. This role is critical for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting our company's logistics flow. A commitment to safety and meticulous record-keeping is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from vendors and carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received inventory appropriately.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety procedures and the correct use of PPE .
- Assist with put-away tasks and stockroom organization as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within logistics is a plus.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strict adherence to safety guidelines and wearing required PPE .
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
